2.5. Registering Your RealChat Server

RealChat is sold as try-before-you-buy software, so you can download and evaluate it for free. Once you are completely satisfied with the software and want to unlock its full power, you need to pay for the full version.

In order to register, you must first install the evaluation version, if it is not already installed. Once you buy a license, you will receive a reginfo.yourname file in an e-mail. This file contains your personal info and registration key. Rename it to reginfo with no extension. Then look for a zero-sized reginfo file in the location where you installed RealChat Server; replace that file with the one you received and restart the server. This will convert the evaluation version to a registered one, according to the license you paid for.
