General Information
RealChat Client features a built-in moderator plug-in, which allows you to hold moderated or celebrity chat events. The moderators have complete control over an ongoing chat session; they can approve or discard messages before they reach the audience, highlight a guest star user, approve all messages from a user, and so forth.
Note: The moderator plug-in is only available in the Enterprise Edition.
Moderator Plug-in
To become a moderator, once you are logged in as an administrator, use the
/moderatecommand. The moderator plug-in will appear, and all users in the room will see a message informing them that all their messages are being forwarded to the moderator for approval.
When you moderate a room, all user messages are sent to the moderator window message list. Highlight a message and click the Approve button to have this message posted to the audience. You can also click the Discard button to remove this message from the queue, without posting it. The Discard All button will empty the message list.
You can enable all messages from a selected user by right-clicking on that user's nickname and selecting 'Approve all messages' from the user list pop-up menu. Select Moderate All Messages to return that user back to normal mode.
If you invited guest-stars or speakers, you can highlight and enable all their messages by selecting Highlight from the user list pop-up menu. The celebrity's nickname is then highlighted:
Use the/moderatecommand again or simply close the moderator window to return back to normal chat mode.
