| Bo Bug got his UPsolute chip modification in June with the addition of a K&N drop in filter. What a difference in torque and performance. Today (September 7) he is fitted with a GReddy G2 cat-back system. The team at Alamo Autosports in Arlington, TX did a super job on the install. It sounds sweet and looks awesome. The final piece for the horse power upgrade. The dyno runs show 195 hp at the flywheel and 170 hp at the tires. Not bad for a little 4 cylinder turbo. Removal requires one small cut
Additional modifications done January 2002 include clear marker lights front and rear, painted calipers, special logo wheel inserts, covered door handles, floor mats and leather steering wheel cover. Sister Dugg (background) got some new wheels too! March 2002 - Short Shift kit by Diesel Geek installed and reduced the throw by 35%. Really makes a difference.
Neuspeed Upper Strut Tie-Bar installed May 2002
So what do all the above modifications result in???
First Place Plaque for show cars at the 18th Annual Metro Volkswagen Southwest Championship Bug-In and a $8 pot. Best time was for day 15.656 at 89.19 mph for the 1/4 mile. We even made mention in the September issue of Hot VW's magazine.
